The widely used services Your Care Online and BeterDichtbij are teaming up to provide more convenience for healthcare. The first step is a link between the two services. Patients in Your Care Online can then also easily use BeterDichtbij.

In the BeterDichtbij patient app, the Uw Zorg Online service can now be found directly. Godfried Bogaerts, general manager of BeterDichtbij: "If you need care, you want the service to be set up easily for you. Through this collaboration we connect digital primary care to digital hospital care, this helps patients in their care pathways."

Integration services

The next step in the collaboration is to investigate the possible integration of the two services. Wieger Vos, director of Uw Zorg Online: "Can we make it possible for patients to also contact their GP digitally via the BeterDichtbij app itself? Or can we display patients' BeterDichtbij conversations with the hospital, for example, in the Uw Zorg Online app?"

"This will give consumers the freedom to use the digital service that is most comfortable for them with each type of care. Thus, digital services in healthcare can further scale, which will also support the goals from the IZA."

Digital front door

Your Care Online is the digital front door for 40 percent of Dutch general practitioners and for more than 5,000 primary care practices. There are now more than 3 million users nationwide.

BeterDichtbij is the national communication platform deployed at more than fifty major healthcare organizations, particularly hospitals, and also increasingly at home care organizations, rehabilitation centers and GGZ organizations. an initiative of all hospitals collectively in the Netherlands. The association Samenwerkende Algemene Ziekenhuizen (SAZ) and the Nederlandse Vereniging van Ziekenhuizen (NVZ) are the main participants in the company behind the BeterDichtbij platform.

Regionalization

A growing group of Dutch people use Uw Zorg Online and BeterDichtbij both, the services noted. Another important reason for starting the collaboration is the increasing regionalization. As a result, care is increasingly taking place in networks between healthcare organizations. If patients can use digital services from one and the other healthcare organizations in an integrated manner,3 this contributes to networked care.

Collaborations

The partnership with Uw Zorg Online is in line with BeterDichtbij's vision to develop into a national service for digital communication. To this end, there are already collaborations with home measurement solution Luscii, EPD supplier ChipSoft, HIS supplier PharmaPartners and national initiatives from the healthcare sector such as Care at Your Care from Santeon, among others.
