National Care Innovation Award 2024 opts for big stages
Zorginnovatie.nl is taking a new step with the Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs 2024. The winners will receive their prize on April 10 next year on the main stage of Zorg & ict, the largest health tech event in the Netherlands. The finalists will pitch a few weeks earlier during the Health Valley Event in Nijmegen. The final and the presentation of the Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs will be bigger than ever.
It remains a challenge for healthcare entrepreneurs to actually make their business a success, even if they have already extensively tested and marketed their innovation. To encourage these entrepreneurs, Zorginnovatie.nl is awarding the National Care Innovation Prize in 2024 for the ninth time for the most innovative care innovation in the scale-up phase. Participants have a chance to win the professional jury prize worth 10,000 euros and the public prize worth 5,000 euros. They will also receive guidance in the further development of their innovation.
Registration is open until Jan. 4
Enrollment can begin November 1, 2023. Registration closes on January 4, 2024 at 12:00 pm. After that, the regional partners of Zorginnovatie.nl will organize preliminary rounds during the Smart Care Relay (January 29 to February 23, 2024). The winners of these regional preliminaries will present themselves on the exhibition floor during the Health Valley Event 2024 on March 21 in Nijmegen and will take the stage here for their pitch in front of the professional jury.
All regional winners will have a stand on the exhibition floor of Zorg & ict during Dutch Health Week, where they can share their innovation with thousands of visitors to the event. In short: the finalists get three days of exposure and opportunities to network with professionals. With a festive highlight: the announcement of the winners of the Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs 2024 on 10 April on the main stage of Zorg & ict. This event takes place from 9 to 11 April at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.
The benefits of winning
The first win is in the region. Participants will take the stage in the preliminary rounds and come into contact with the region's top healthcare innovators. A great start to generate more brand awareness.

In 2023, the professional jury awarded Huisartsen van Nederland. Momo Medical walked away with the audience award. Winners of previous years have since found that the prize delivers much more than just the check.
