Utrecht, April 13, 2023 - For a week in June, Utrecht will be the place where some fifteen thousand participants in more than 20 events will work on accessible care and health for all. From Monday, June 12 to Saturday, June 17, Dutch Health Week will take place in Royal Jaarbeurs and elsewhere in the city: the health event where healthcare and life sciences professionals gain new knowledge and exchange experiences. This makes Dutch Health Week the biggest event for healthcare in 2023.

Strong together: improving care and life sciences together
Dutch Health Week includes a health tech event, conferences, master classes, vitality and networking meetings where healthcare professionals and also citizens gain new insights and knowledge. Ruud Koolen, director of the Dutch Health Hub: "The goal of Dutch Health Week is to improve healthcare and life sciences with all healthcare professionals in the Netherlands. Together we go deep into current issues to make healthcare stronger."

Working on health for all
One of the events during Dutch Health Week is Zorg & ICT. This largest health tech event in the Netherlands is all about new technologies for healthcare. Top speakers like Margriet Schneider (Board of Directors UMC Utrecht), Diederik Gommers (Head of Intensive Care at Erasmus MC) and Marcel Levi (Internist and Chairman of the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) inspire the visitors.
Ruud Koolen: "Many prominent partners from the healthcare and life sciences sector will join during Dutch Health Week. Such as the Prinses Máxima Center for pediatric oncology. And the Carend Foundation with a congress on palliative care with the well-known lung specialist and author Sander de Hosson. Vilans, knowledge organization for long-term care, joins in with a Techtalk on digitization and ethics."
Koolen continues: "We collect all the knowledge in one place. That's strength for visitors, exhibitors and event organizers alike. We are happy to join hands with all parties in healthcare and life sciences during Dutch Health Week. This way we can maintain high-quality, accessible and affordable care for future generations.

Dutch Health Week in the city and region of Utrecht
Dutch Health Week takes place this year for a week from Monday, June 12 to Saturday, June 17, live in Utrecht. Activities will also take place in the rest of the city and region of Utrecht. For example, at FC Utrecht and in the Botanical Gardens at Utrecht Science Park.

Koolen: "Utrecht recently launched a new regional profile: Heart of Health. This is an initiative of large companies from the region that are members of network organization Economic Board Utrecht, such as Ballast Nedam, Utrecht University and also Jaarbeurs. The goal is to promote the Utrecht region, with 1.5 million inhabitants, as the region that contributes most to a healthier world, the beating heart of a healthy society. Dutch Health Week fits seamlessly with this new regional positioning."

The organizer of Dutch Health week is Dutch Health Hub, the open independent platform for health, future-proof care and life sciences that communicates on crucial topics throughout the year. Dutch Health Hub is powered by Jaarbeurs.
