The National Care Innovation Prize will have a special edition in 2025. Not only will the prize be awarded for the tenth time, on the occasion of the second lustrum the prize will be presented by none other than Constantijn van Oranje.
"The National Care Innovation Award gives entrepreneurs with groundbreaking solutions a stage," Constantijn van Oranje underlines the importance of the award. "The prize stimulates development of innovations that improve healthcare and make it more accessible to everyone. Hopefully healthcare will follow suit by becoming more accessible to the innovations offered by these entrepreneurs."
Closer cooperation
A fireside chat with Constantine precedes the awards ceremony on April 9, 2025. As Techleap' s special envoy, he is very active in the world of technology and innovation. In this role since 2017, he has been committed to promoting the Dutch startup climate. He also regularly advocates for closer cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world in technology and innovation. Techleap is a non-profit organization partially subsidized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Techleap aims to help Dutch tech startups and scale ups grow faster and better, nationally and internationally.
Growth Engine
The Care Innovation Award is an initiative of Zorginnovatie.nl, part of Health~Holland (Top Sector Life Sciences & Health). Every year, this national network for innovations in health and care organizes the National Care Innovation Prize to support entrepreneurs who develop innovative solutions for accessible and affordable healthcare. Participants have a chance to win a jury prize of 10,000 euros and a public prize of 5,000 euros.
Higher quality of life
"Innovation in health and care is not only essential for better health care and a higher quality of life for many, but it also stimulates economic growth," said Health~Holland general director Nico van Meeteren.
'Future-proof' economy
Like Techleap and Constantijn van Oranje, Health~Holland is also committed to more cooperation in the healthcare innovation world. Van Meeteren calls on organizations, institutions and governments to invest in high-quality innovative technologies as launching customers. "In this way, we not only contribute to better labor productivity and increased job satisfaction, but also accelerate the application of these innovations. By working together, we make healthcare and our economy future-proof."
